AI Overviews and AI Mode are Google Search features that give an AI-generated answer with links to supporting websites. AI Overviews appear only on some queries; AI Mode handles longer questions and comparisons. Google says there are no extra requirements to appear beyond its standard SEO best practices.
Why it matters for your business: if your pages are not among the linked sources, searchers may get their answer without ever seeing your site.
